Blow Bar for Stone Impact Crusher Introduction

Stone Impact Crusher Parts

Impact crusher blow bars play an important role in crushing applications. Typically manufactured into large, thick slabs of high-strength alloys or hybrid composites, they can also be referred to as hammers, impact hammers, or breaker bars. Regardless of the name, they all serve the same purpose of fracturing up materials such as concrete, asphalt, and natural stone into smaller fragments. The type of blow bars selected and how they are managed, and just importantly maintained, will influence the productivity of your impact crusher.

Product Advantages

Good wear resistance

We produce blow bars using the latest manufacturing techniques and unique structural designs. Our blow bar has a cubic shape, no tension and cracks, and a pretty good grain shape, which is a reliable high wear-resistant casting.

High hardness

Our blow bars and liners are refined through special treatment. They have micro-grain structure and sufficient toughness after quenching and tempering heat treatment, and the hardness can reach above HRC60.

Wide application

Stone Impact Crusher Spare Parts are designed to handle various materials, including limestone, granite, basalt, and recycled concrete, to name but a few examples. This adaptability enables our customers to achieve their desired output size and shape.

Less maintenance

Proprietary work hardening alloys reduce maintenance and increased uptime. Decreased downtimes enable cost savings.

Metallurgical types

High Chrome Wear Parts Blow Bar

High chrome blow bars are used for highly abrasive applications including crushing asphalt or natural stone. The high levels of chrome increase the ability to withstand abrasive materials thus making them highly resistant to wear. Contrarily, the high levels of chrome increase their susceptibility to fracturing.

Low Chrome Blow Bars

The bar metallurgy of low chrome blow bars allows them to perform more effectively when processing highly contaminated materials including concrete with steel and rebar. They can also withstand larger feeds more effectively than high or medium chrome blow bars.

Martensitic Ceramic (hybrid)

Martensitic Ceramic blow bars are martensitic bars with ceramic applied throughout the bar. Martensitic alloys provide high impact resistance while the ceramic material improves its ability to withstand abrasion. Based on these characteristics, they often used in applications with high abrasion or larger feeds including asphalt recycling and applications.

Chrome Ceramic (hybrid)

Chrome Ceramic are chrome bars with ceramic applied through the bar. They do no perform well in applications with tramp metal or large feed sizes, but they are effective in highly abrasive applications. For this reason, chrome ceramic blow bars are often used in secondary and tertiary crushing including asphalt crushing.

FAQ Guidance

Q: What material is the impact crusher blow bar made of?

A: Blow bars are thick slabs of metal, typically some mixture of chrome, that are forged for the purpose of effectively breaking apart material like asphalt, concrete, limestone, etc. Blow bar is a critical part during the crushing process with horizontal shaft impactor.

Q: Will your Impact Crusher Wear Parts save me money?

A: We can save our valued customers a great deal thanks to crusher wear parts that are more reliable and, therefore, require less maintenance than other products.

Q: Why is my Impact Crusher Parts Blow Bar wearing out so quickly?

A: When there is more moisture present in the feed, the impact crusher and its blow bars wear down faster. Operators need to be cautious when using water to dust down a site.

Q: What materials can the Blow Bar for Stone Impact Crusher be used for crushing?

A: Basalt crushing, limestone crushing, iron ore crushing, river pebble crushing, calcium carbide crushing, granite crushing, etc. It provides convenience for the construction of roads, railways, water conservancy, electric power, construction, and other industries.

Q: How to choose Impact Crusher Wear Parts?

A: The selection of the liner type and material for Impact crushers is fundamental to ensure its desired performance. The liners must be chosen according to the material type, abrasion, foreign elements and size at the feeding and the required product, so that best properties of different metallic alternatives may be used.

Q: When Blow bars should be changed?

A: Since many facilities don’t carry excessive blow bar stock, it’s vital to make sure to monitor the condition of your bars frequently, especially if there is a tendency for tramp events. Once the bars are worn down, or damaged (cracked), you need to replace them as soon as possible. If you wait too long to replace your blow bars or neglect to regularly inspect them you could end up losing many valuable hours of production.

Q: How do I check the blow bar?

A: At the end of every workday the blow bars should be checked for wear. Before checking blow bar wear make sure the power source is locked out and tagged out. Then loosen all impactor lid locks and flip them open. Once that is done you can start the motor to the hydraulic pump. Open impactor lid using the correct lever that is labeled IMPACTOR LID near the impactor. After the impactor lid is opened all the way insert impactor safety lock located near the impactor lid pivot arms. Then position the rotor and insert the rotor safety lock located to the left of the rotor hanging on stationary end of impactor. Now you are ready to check the wear of your blow bars.

Q: What should I pay attention to when replacing the blow bar?

A: During a blow bar replacement operation, it is important to maintain rotor balancing. The two heavier blow bars have to be assembled in opposition (180°). At the same time, you hava to clean and check the fixing wedges. If these are worn, a replacement is mandatory, as some gaps can appear with new blow bars which can create a blow bar breakage or crusher break down.

Q: What are the grades of blow bars?

A: Grade “C” Blow Bar: Poor shape (Average 4” thickness blow bar but with three deep grooves causing a poor rating).
Grade “A” Blow Bar: Excellent shape (Thicker than average thickness blow bar 4.5”, with positive noses to locate blow bar).

Q: Why do high chromium blow bars for sale need to be heat treated?

A: Most high-chromium blow bars are used under heat treatment. Heat treatment is an important means to improve the matrix structure of high-chromium blow bars and maximize their wear resistance. With the increase of the quenching temperature, the higher the carbon content and alloy content in the austenite, the harder the martensite formed after transformation, and therefore the quenching hardness increases.

Q: What's the delivery time ?

A: Generally it is 15 days if the goods are in stock. For customized products, it will take about 30 days after receiving your advance payment. The specific delivery time depends on the items and the quantity of your order.
