For this particular UK customer, Duma supplied a batch of jaw plates manufactured from high-manganese steel, processed through Duma's full in-house production chain and inspected to export standard before loading.
Every jaw crusher part that leaves Duma's factory is produced entirely within the company's own 42,000 m² integrated facility. Duma operates as a direct manufacturer, not a trading company, which means complete control over every stage of production: raw material inspection, high-manganese steel smelting and casting, computer-controlled water toughening heat treatment, precision machining, and final quality inspection. On the materials side, Duma's jaw plates are available in high-manganese steel grades including Mn13, Mn18, and Mn22, selected according to the customer's ore type and crusher operating conditions. Following Duma's controlled water toughening process, parts leave the factory with an initial hardness of approximately HB200. Once placed into service and subjected to repeated impact, surface hardness increases rapidly to HB500 or above through work hardening, while the core of the casting retains its toughness. This balance of surface hardness and internal ductility prevents premature cracking and extends service life - typically 20% to 40% longer than standard replacement parts, translating into lower total maintenance costs for the end user.
Before any batch is approved for shipment, it goes through Duma's standard quality control procedure: hardness testing to verify heat treatment results, metallographic analysis under high-magnification microscopy to confirm a clean austenitic structure free of carbide precipitation, dimensional inspection to ensure precise fit against the customer's crusher frame, and ultrasonic non-destructive testing to detect any internal casting defects. Material certificates, heat treatment curves, dimensional reports, and metallographic reports are provided with every order and are fully traceable by batch number.
