Mn14Cr2
Best suited for medium-hardness materials (limestone, shale, river gravel) with moderate impact loads. The classic Hadfield-grade alloy: excellent work-hardening response under cyclic compression, cost-effective for high-throughput quarry lines.

Mn18Cr2
The most widely specified grade for mixed-feed operations. Handles medium-to-hard abrasive feed (granite, basalt, iron ore) with stronger work-hardening than Mn14. Recommended as the default upgrade for Metso C-series and Sandvik CJ-series applications.

Mn22Cr2
Formulated for severe impact environments: hard rock mining, primary crushing of quartzite, granite with high silica content. Higher Mn content delivers peak toughness and delayed fracture initiation - the preferred choice when jaw plate breakage is a recurring problem.

High-Chrome Cast Iron
When abrasive wear dominates over impact - fine, highly abrasive feeds like slag, recycled concrete, or silica sand - high-chrome iron (Cr26–28%) provides 2–3× the surface hardness of standard manganese steel. Not recommended where large-lump impact loads are present.
Custom alloy additions available on request: Mo 0.5% (molybdenum for added toughness), TiC ceramic inserts for extreme abrasion zones, or Cr adjustments for specific ore chemistries.
